Hi, my name is James. I am a woodworker and I started the Blackwood Hill woodshop because of my passion for woodworking. I provide hand-made wood products for home, business, recreational use, and for special occasions. 

My passion for working with wood has become my business. I make various types of products such as pens, bowls, hangboards, and furniture, some of which are my own ideas and others are inspired by friends and family who share their ideas with me. I want to share my talents and products with others and for that reason I started Blackwood Hill. Please take a look at the products I have made and check back periodically for new products. I have multiple product ideas which will become available in time, including light fixtures, tables, desks, and bed frames. 

Inspired by my father as a kid, I've always enjoyed home projects and woodworking. In 2011, I started building furniture pieces such as a captain's bed and an entertainment center. In 2019, I built a shop and started building more. I love working with wood to build beautiful and unique items which you will love to show off to your friends and family.  

As a woodworker, I build projects of my own design with an array of woodworking tools available in my shop. I can also build projects of your design. Present your design to me and I can see if it is feasible to create in my shop. I may also have some ideas or direction I can provide to help you with your designs.   

I create pieces you can enjoy for years to come. If you receive an item with a design flaw or craftsmanship issue, I will fix or replace the piece*. I am also available to help you maintain the look of your wood product.
